GLOBAL GRANT #2120830: Turnover of Two Ventilators

  • Mechanical ventilators to Fight Covid-19 and others (GLOBAL GRANT:2120830)

ln line with the government’s all out effort to address the spread of the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) and to treat other respiratory diseases, The Rotary Club of Timog-Quezon City plans to support the enhancement of medical facilities at Novaliches District Hospital (NDH) in Quezon City by donating two mechanical ventilators.

NDH’s request for additional adult/pedia mechanical ventilators will enable optimum respiratory support care under their medical and clinical service programs. Ventilatory support is required for patients in critical condition who have severely compromised breathing, respiration or oxygenation. A ventilator takes over the body’s breathing process when a disease has caused the lungs to fail, allowing the patient to fight off the infection and recover. It is used to push air with increased levels of oxygen into the lungs and serves as a humidifier to match the air supply to the patient’s body temperature.
