Area of Focus: Basic Education and Literacy
The Rotary Club of Timog-Quezon City and its partners again extended help to Los Baños National High School by renovating its old news and journalism room, which shall benefit close to 4000 students. The scope of the project included complete replacement and painting of galvanized roofing, wooden ceiling, electrical works, and indoor repainting of walls and floor. Upon completion, stakeholders and donors graced the ribbon-cutting ceremony and unveiled the marker. Lunch followed which was prepared by the teachers. With the current state of public school facilities in our country, there is indeed an urgent need to for the private sector like Rotary to extend assistance to expedite minor and major repair works. The request for repairs takes years to get approved and materialize. So, let’s continue giving others hope and immediate action.
